What are some exercises that work my forearms?
Jacob J asked:
I have some nice biceps but my forearms/wrist look small, or at least I think so. Anyone know some exercises I can do to work them more? Bodyweight or weighted exercises would be fine.

The best way to train forearms is through heavy back training. Never use lifting straps as these take the stress off of the muscles that should be doing the work. Shrugs, Deadlifts, Barbell Rows, weighted chinups, etc are all great forearm movements as they require a lot of grip strength.

You can do the wrist curl with weights but personally I found that by doing lots of pull ups I increased the size of my biceps and my forearms. That last part in the pull up where your elbows are less than 90 degrees requires your forearms.
Most exercises with the Olympic bar (ie. hangs, cleans, deadlifts, etc) will work your forearms and wrists as well. I personally would NEVER sit there and work on such tiny muscle groups such as the forearm explicitly because you can work them along with 20 other muscles at the same time by doing one of the above exercises. Work smart right?

Just do curls with your forearm, like sit and rest your forearm on your thigh with your wrist hanging over the edge of your knee, then curl without using anything else.
